This petite winter squash is aas sweet as honey and weighs just 3/4 to 1-1/2 pounds~ perfect for one or two servings. Though you can find Delicata type squash in the grocery store, he extra-sweet, nutty, orange-fleshed 'Honeyboat' is a gourmet delight that is hard to find. The squash grow on a 6-foot vine. After harvest, they will store well for several months, allowing you to have home grown winter squash into the winter. Winter squash is rich in calcium, potassium, vitamin C, A, and Floate. When to plant outside: Spring, 1-3 weeks after average last frost date and when soils are warm.

When to start inside: 4 weeks before transplanting outside. Best grown in biodegradable pots for transplant.
