The Herb Cottage sign greets visitors and passers-by alike.

The Silver Barn, as we call it, is a newer structure that houses square hay bales and a tractor or other equipment.

The farmhouse looks very picturesque from a distance.
The gravel drive runs from the road up to the garage. The leafless trees you see in the foreground are pecan trees. They are deciduous and the last to leaf out in the spring. This was a good year for pecans. We shell them and keep them in the freezer for baking and to put in our cereal.

Our garage is home to 2 pickup trucks, a riding mower, a power push mower, work bench, nursery supplies like pots and trays, and lots of junk that is too valuable to throw away, mice and the occasional snake.

The little gate lets us into the yard and nursery. Passion vine cover the fence. In the summer the fragrance is intoxicating.

A close view of the entry and the end of our tour. If you're ever in the neighborhood, stop by. You're welcome to take a walk, look at plants or just sit by the pond for a spell.
